We visited in 3-12 and drove thru The Burren countryside. Completely different from what you think of when you think of Ireland. Rock, Rocks and MORE Rocks! Must be very harsh thru the winter as in March the winds were bitter. Beautiful in its own right, very unexpected, and yet pleasant. More

The Burren was an amazing rock landscape, beautiful, stark - I actually enjoyed this more than the Ring of Kerry (maybe because we visited in March) Beautiful drive. Loved the portal tomb - even older than the great pyramids! I understand over 20 varieties of orchids flourish there in the summer??? We'll worth the time. My son loved the rocks. More
