This can be a very short stop if you just wish to see it and snap a few pictures. It is very interesting to see and read about. The drive to the dolmen is one of the best parts! More

I've been here at least 5 times and would never go to Co Clare without another visit. The new car park and path makes it very easily accessible and the information boards are worth a look as they have loads of information about the wider landscape as well as the monument. I generally visit "off season" and have the place... More

The drive through the Burrens is really neat, because it's such an unusual landscape. Then, you add this 5,000+ year old tomb and it just adds to the sense of mystery and beauty. It's a short stop, but we liked it a lot! More

Love the new car park and easy access paths. There is no more dangerous parking on the side of the road to get a look at this beautiful tomb. More

If you are driving the Burren, you need to stop and see it. I mean it is cool but I wouldn't make the trip just to see it. More

I had read that the remains of about 30 people had been found in this portal tomb, some from as early as 6000 years ago. A review had said it would take about half an hour to walk there, take a few pictures, and walk back — but I found that the walk itself took less than five minutes each... More

We had looked forward to seeing this site once we knew we were headed to Ireland. What an amazing place! It's a shame that they have to "fence off" the tomb, but while we were there, two college aged kids climbed all over it. Just to be able to think of the people that built this and the hardships they... More

Hard to find but worth the effort. I remember going there in the 80's with friends and i'm ashamed to say we have a picture of my boyfriend at the time standing on top of the dolmen. When we went back in April 11 it was all barricaded off and the children were horrified to hear that their dad had... More
