It's worth a quick stop in the Clare Museum to give you a bit of local history. It was free of charge and provided a nice bit of information about Ireland and it's people throughout the ages. Also provided some interesting artifacts. More

Not a very big or elaborate place but combines the best of audiovisual presentations in many tongues detailing the local history of Ennis and Clare. Really must be combined with a visit to the Clare Library on Harmony Row to get the overallpicture. Should take up a few hours of an otherwise wet day in Clare. More

Arrived shortly before closing time but weren't made to feel we had to leave. A good introduction to the history of the local area. Next time i'll make sure I have more time. Very helpful staff in the adjacent tourist information More

This small museum is an ideal way to acquaint yourself with an overview of County Clare from pre-history to the present day. Incorporating geology, archeology, art and folklife, you come away ready to view the county and the country through clearer eyes and understanding. Some of the artifacts are stunningly beautiful, all are interesting. More

Not a expensive museum but gives a good overview of the county of Clare and at a reasonable price for admission. More

We spent over an hour in the Clare Museum in the Tourist info building & would have liked to have stayed longer but time on parking meter was running out. Though free, it was fascinating with interesting, well presented displays of artifacts & local heros. More
