The Gaol is a fair walk from the city centre, however, if you can make it on foot (its mostly uphill) i'd say its worth it as its a nice walk. Its quite a walk from the center of Cork city to the Gaol, and mostly uphill, so if you aren't capable of walking a good ways, I'd suggest finding a cab.
