We visited the Island in April 2009 and loved it! I believe there are about 3 boat companies that go to the island and the boat trip alone was worth the visit. Garnish Island in Glengarriff in west cork is a gorgeous place. We took the Blue Pool ferry there from glengarriff and really loved the amazing views and magical gardens on the island.
