We spent about an hour and a half and I think we saw it all. We were intrigued by some of the unusual plants; it is all clean and very well kept. We visited the Island in April 2009 and loved it! I believe there are about 3 boat companies that go to the island and the boat trip alone was worth the visit. We passed dozens of seals sunning themselves on the rocks and the driver slowed right down and got the boat quite close to them so we could get... more

Garnish Island in Glengarriff in west cork is a gorgeous place. We took the Blue Pool ferry there from glengarriff and really loved the amazing views and magical gardens on the island. It's well worth the trip. You can stay in glengarriff, the area is beautiful and people are very friendly, however, there isn't really much else to do in... more

Cost of ferry from Glengarrif € 30 {Two adults+onechild) He allowed the other two children free which was nice. The ferry was pleasant and we saw a lot of seals sunning themselvelves on some rocks.
