The Old Oak is a place i visit with my family on a regular basis. I live in the city so my dad and siblings come here and my dad seems to have a preference for eating in The Old Oak. The food is lovely and they have a nice selection; sandwiches, rolls, toasties, salads, lasagne, and the price is... More

We spent two nights in cork went to the old oak the first night on the advice of a waiter from soho restaurant. We had a great time and went back the second. The staff was great, there was live music and we enjoyed just sitting and talking. I would recommend it, if Sean O is still there, tell him... More

Terrible place to visit, management (if there is a management system in place) is appalling, rude security staff and bar staff. One bar man told me he had no glasses for my bottle of Heineken (for which he told me they had none already on draught) before serving another customer a pint of Heineken, he still wouldnt give me a... Cork City. Former City of Culture. Should be ashamed to offer this Venue a Licence To Trade. Over the way the Staff and Management Treat Members of Corks Gay Community. I am Delighted to see the public disgust over their actions. Make Cork City a nicer place to Live and Do Not Support THE OLD OAK. More

Went here for a couple of drinks as we were going to see a band in Cyprus Avenue next door afterwards. For a Saturday night it was very bright, would have better if they dimmed the lights a bit. Although the pub was busy there wasn't much atmosphere. Wouldn't come here again More

Wanted to find a good pub to have a enjoyable night out in cork and to be honest this isn't it. Once it gets anyway busy the place is a sweat box. Toliets got worse and smellier as the night when on. Even after a free drinks the place was nt good. (bad sign)ended up leaving for another bar were... More

Excellent Pub with small frontage opposite the post office on Oliver Plunkett Street. It goes back a way and opens into a hall with a bar and a stage. I've spent a couple of nightsd here, Excellent bands, good beer, and locals always ready for a chat and a "crack". If you're out for a beer and the "crack", go... More
