If you MUST see whales, then this is not a trip for you. Only one of our passengers saw one, and that was with binoculars. Having said that, this is well worth your time and money. Boat is adequate and the coastal scenery is very nice. Nic knows the area and where the best viewing spots are going to be,... More

On Thursday we booked the morning trip with Nic. The trip was worth every euro, we had a fantastic trip. We had a great experience when we found a pod of dolphins, they were tracking our boat and there was 4 or 5 who were very close and kept at the front of the boat, i managed to take some... More

On the 9th of August our family booked on the whale watching trip, Nic provided us with a fantastic informative trip with the added extra of viewing dolphin, harbour porpoise and Minke whale. We will never forget our experience. More

We went on a whale watching tour with Nic , great guy, knows his stuff...he even got us some sun !! Of course, you are never sure to see anything on such a tour, we didn't see any whales but a lot of dolphins playing around the boat, this was great. It was a very very nice day, the coast... More

Just back from tour and very disappointed. The views are stunning from the boat but people are paying 50euro expecting to see Minke or fin whales, not puffins and seals which is what we saw in the 5hours being on the boat. The website heavily advertises Whale watching which is clearly not the case. If you are looking for a... More

Hi Orca 12351 It is always very upsetting if a guest does not feel happy after a trip. Many things conspire to dictate what we may or may not see on a tour. Weather, visibility, sea conditions, fish movements, tidal conditions and of course animal behaviour. It must be remembered that the marine life that we go looking for are... More

Hi Rerare42 I am very sorry that you feel the way you do. It is worth noting that It is rare to go out and not see anything on one of our tours. We don't always see all those species we would like to. There is a great deal of added value in a tour of this type, - you... More

This was a great experience. Although no sightings of whales or dolphins, we did see a small group of seals. It was amazing to watch these animals. This is because Nic is very knowledgeable about the ocean, ocean life and the land area surrounding West Cork . He is very passionate and funny. A great Captain! More

We took our two daughters on Nic's cruise during June 2011. I'd agree with the other reviewers here that Nic is a great host and the boat is very worthy of this activity. The scenery during the ride is terrific... the views of surrounding islands, the emerald water, and the occasional wildlife. However, we didn't see any whales or dolphins,... More
