this is a really great tour, the guides are brilliant. Only one bad thing, they should not allow small children on the tour, there was 1 little brat who was really disrutive and ruined, waht was promising to be a great tour!

An amazing place to visit to learn more about our history. Can't understand how anyone could say "it's just another jail", they must have their senses completely dulled. The oppressive and sinister feeling in the execution yard is like nothing else. Essential for anyone who wants to know more about Ireland's history. Very moving and unforgetttable.

Extremely informative and a moving experience. We learned so much about Ireland's struggle for independence. Our guide was one of the most knowledgeable guides I have ever had on any tour. A definite must-see on a trip to Dublin; however, I would only recommend it for adults or families with older children. Young children may get bored.

This is a must see for any visitor to Dublin. The history of the gaol is heartbreaking but it is important to visit in order to understand Ireland's history. The tour guides are excellent and you will learn a lot. The goal itself is preserved “ensitu” exactly as it was when it closed, even the cells which you can go...

This tour brings to life the tragic side of Irish history. Listening to the guide, I could imagine the cells filled with adults and children incarcerated for stealing a bit of food, or political prisoners jailed briefly, waiting to be hanged or shot! The struggle for independence and the sacrifices made by so many fills every corner of this historic...

I took the number 79 bus from Aston Quay to get to the jail, only costing me EUR1.90 each way, the bus stops almost outside the jail.
The adult price was EUR6.00 which I thought was good value, our guide, Patrick was very informative and gave a very detailed tour.
I'd say it wouldn't be a tour that would interest...
