This was a delightful evening touring around Dublin and learning about Irish music. Simple things like how do you tell the difference from a jig and reel? I grew up on Irish music and now have much more appreciation for it. I did not think taht was possible! Thank you.... more

The best evening we had during our stay in Dublin. We visited 2 pubs and were entertained by two musicians who told us a lot about music, folklore and "Irish pub life" more

We found this from the trip advisor reviews. This didn't turn out to be what we expected but we still enjoyed it and recommend it for other tourists. We had thought that we would going from one pub to another listening to different entertainment at each pub. However, the way it works is that you have two musicians and you... more

We loved this event from start to finish and agree with the other reviews. An evening of great authentic Irish music, delicious pints and good stories. An excellent way to experience Temple Bar as well as a few off the beaten path gems. No better way to see Dublin! more

The guys were great, very informative about the history of Irish music, where that music is now, and very funny. Not quite enough music though, lots of talking and joking filled up time that could have been music. Great place to start a trip so that you know what to look for and where to go to find authentic Irish... more

We had a great time at the Musical Pub Crawl. For our group, it was one of the major highlights of our trip to Dublin. If however you're hoping to hear "The Wild Rover", "Danny Boy" or some other 'traditional' Irish songs, this is not the tour for you. What you will learn is about traditional Irish music sessions -... more

Traditional music in traditional pubs- an excellent way to spend an evening. The leaders are not only great musicians, but they are well-versed in the stories behind the music. The pubs were well-chosen, providing an variety of experiences and allowing travelers to see some spots off the beaten Temple Bar path. The private rooms for the music were a great... more

This Pub Crawl was one of the highlights of our recent tour of Ireland. My wife and I went on the Musical Pub Crawl last Sunday night and had a great time. The musicians (Anthony and Tomas) were funny (particularly Anthony) andinformative. They played great music in what is the traditional setting within which to experience this great stuff -... more

This was the perfect way to spend our first night in Dublin. What could be better than drinking beer and listening to traditional Irish music? It was educational and fun. Anthony and Eugene were our guides and they were fantastic. The bonus was that they gave us tips on finding good local music sessions (non-touristy). We took their recommendation for... more

This was probably the best thing we did in Dublin. We started in Gogarty's pub in Temple Bar area and had a drink waiting for everyone to arrive. (It costs 10 Euro each). Make sure to go there about a half hour early in case the tour fills up quickly. Once the two musicians showed up we walked over to... more
