We went for drinks, and then again for dinner. It's down a back alley, but you can see the sign on the ground along Lord Edward St. Both our waitresses were very sweet. Seafood chowder was the best I'd had in all of Dublin. More

The Stags hasn't changed with the celtic tiger or the downturn, its still the same as it always was. A comfortable oak panelled buzzy studenty, unpretentious spot for a good pint of guinness and excellent chat. More

We went for the history but it was very busy! a nice local hangout for a pint or two. Reads up on the history so you know the story. You can spend 15 minutes there or all day depending on what you want to do. Easy to get to from city centre, we walked. More

One of the few surviving authentic Dublin pubs. Still as original as ever. Gets very crowded, though, a tnight and at weekends. Better at lunchtime and during the afternoon More

...in my opinion. Really friendly staff. Lovely back bar complete with leather seats and stuffed fox. Great on street drinking in the Summer. Their food is also fantastic [get the Irish Stew...]. If you're a whiskey drinker they have Powers on tap. Sublime! More
