The museum was a little difficult to find as someone had obviously moved the signs, but it was worth looking for! Very interesting exhibitions - local cinema, history and jewellery. It's free, it's clean and has friendly staff. Kids booklet makes it a bit more interesting. Altogether though there isn't much there, it was disappointing. More

A mix of local art, including the statue of Padraig O Conaire previosly located in Eyre Square and an example of a currach fishing boat, with more general Irish and international art in an excellent modern building More

The museum is very well-designed. Not huge, but it enriched our visit to Galway. Beautiful art galleries take advantage of the riverside location and display art about Ireland. The historical exhibits are interactive and fascinating. More
