Spent both evenings here during our galway trip- excellent bar service & music!

An Pucan Bar is one of the oldest Traditional Irish music bars in Galway city located just off Eyre square on Forster Street, with music 7 nights a week. Tourists love this pub with the old but lovely interior decor and the famous Galway Hooker boat hence the name An Pucan which is erected in the pub. Free entertainment nightly with Irish Riverdance Irish dancers from May until October, always a great attraction to locals and tourists alike.

Our tour group went here as the last stop on our pub crawl. So glad that we did it was a absolute great Irish experience! The wait to the bar wasn't bad and in between the live music Celtic dancers pulled their boards out and danced! It was amazing! The atmosphere makes for a great time with local town people...

Locals and tourists alike can enjoy absolutely phenomenal live music by local talent (daily from 9pm), good Irish food, and a great little old pub. Great place to visit in Galway, just off The Eyre Square in the city, we travelled all around Ireland & An Pucan has the friendliest nicest staff we came accross, Irish dancers were fantastic & great musicians, We will be back
