This is a great park to enjoy a a hike with spectacular views (on a clear day) and a pleasant walk up up a small mountain/hill. You can take trails of 30 min., 1 hour or 2 1/2 hours. Definitely worth the excercise, espaecially after a night in the pubs. more

We visited the national park on a rainy, dreary day so this curttailed our activities. This is a lovely, huge park that has free entry--the mountains are lovely, there are many hiking trails and shorter walking trails. The visitor center has an excellent museum with displays about the people, history and economics of the area including much on the bogs.... more

Connemara National Park is absolutely beautiful! We took the medium- length (about an hour) hike and had a wonderful view of the Connemara area. This park is definitely worth spending some time at. You could get in a hike in an hour or two, or spend a whole day there exploring and enjoying the beauty. Admission is completely free; there... more
