If you're staying in Galway, you should really take a stroll along the bay. It was beautiful and the weather was nice. It was also a nice break from the city center, which was very crowded. If you're looking for peace and quiet, don't miss the opportunity to walk out on the pier. More

Need a place away from the pubs and tourist hot spots? Walk down to the bay and just relax. Warning: It's Ireland so it can be raining or windy. No matter what though; it is relaxing! More

ireland has so many postcard scenes everwhere you go, and this is one. Lots of photo ops here overlooking Galway Bay. Hard not to have the song (and others) going through your mind if you're of a certain age. Nice to have someone else drive (we were on a bus tour) so you can look in all directions. Galway's avery... we stopped a number of times along the way to take pictures. at one place we picked up some very interesting tumbled rocks that had green and pink colors in them. turns out that they are granite so makes for a nice souvenir of the place. More

We went for a nice walk around the bay area. Thankfully the weather was holding up. No rain and sunny afternoon. It is a nice area to go for a walk and get outside. More
