When doing the research for our trip to Ireland we KNEW he "had" to do the ring of Kerry, HOWEVER thank goodness I read somewhere that the Dingle Peninsula was ALSO beautiful, what I should have been told was the DINGLE PENINSULA IS THE BEST and in my opinion way way way better than the ring of Kerry, The drive... The Dingle Peninsula has to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. Stretching out into the Atlantic, the most westerly place in Europe, towards the Blasket Islands with a spine of mountains including Brandon, the second highest in Ireland, running down its centre. This was the first place that Lindbergh flew over. A great place for walking... More

a nice drive with interesting turnouts, great scenery. only drawback for us is that slea head beach, which is stunning, had so many people at it that we just drove on. i guess it was a nice day, so the entire population goes to slea head for the sun. More

On the recommendation of a local we did part of the Dingle Peninsula and stayed in Bootleens. The drive toward Dingle was a good road but not many pull outs until Inch. The beach at Inch was good and parking. We then drove to the town of Anascaul which we found interesting with its wide street and colored houses with... More

We had lunch in Dingle and then drove around the peninsula. The most beautiful coastline I have ever seen. Rocky cliffs, beaches, green pastures of sheep. Fantastic. More

I've been to the Dingle Peninsula twice and the weather was awful both times, yet I enjoyed it, completely, both times. The town of Dingle is quite tourist-oriented, which brings both good and bad with it (a lot of places to eat and shop, but lots of crowds as well). There is so much to see from castles to pre-historic... More

We had really looked carefully at Dingle as a destination and were not the least bit sorry! It's loaded with history and beautiful scenery. All through the Peninsula were so many historic sites and wonders. The Beehive Huts were amazing as was the Gallarus Oratory. We just regret that we did not carve out more time for Dingle while we... A great variety of everything good about Ireland, sandy beaches, golf courses, angling, sailing, great accomodation and restaurants. The Peninsula has spectacular scenery on all sides. More

Dingle is such a charming town! We stayed at Murphy's B & B and it was great! Don't miss the live music in the pubs. We saw a great band in Murphy's Pub. More
