The grounds were lovely. We didn't tour the inside of the house. We wanted to visit the Muckross Traditional Farms, but we were there in the morning and they didn't open until 1 pm. However, the gift shop was great and we had fun buying souvenirs for ourselves and people at home. more

We spent our time walking around the lovely gardens and the lake. We skipped the paid tour of the house itself. The grounds provided plenty of entertainment on their own. Another great Irish photo op. The walk to the falls is very nice, however the falls were disappointing. more

This really is a gem of a place. The scenery is breathtaking with one particular view down the lake in front of the house simply awesome. We didn't have much time in Killarney. Poor planning I suppose, or possibly just overly ambitious. We went to Muckross and found the grounds absolutely stunning.
