really nice place, and you can enter park from there , Ross castle is situated just on the lake so views are amaizing , for photose i found that the best is night as they are lights facing on the castle.

The tour of Ross Castle was very nice and gave you a real understanding about what all these castles are about! But the boat ride to the island (10 euros/person) was a great one hour excursion and well worth the time and cost. A substantial stone tower which looked very forbidding on the dark day when I visited. It is a pleasant jaunting car ride from Killarney town. Didn't go into the castle but there is a shop and tearoom.

Excellent guided visit by professionals extremely interesting and detailed guided tour, the area around the castle is excellent for walking and I believe one can visit the nearby islands but unfortunately the weather did not permit this during our visit. We a group of nine French people liked everything and have no critisims of this site or its guides

We had intended on going to the tour but when we arrived we found out that the next tour wouldn't get us to our B&B until after dark and we didn't trust our dusk driving skills. Ha!

We loved our visit to Ross Castle. The grounds were so peaceful and we enjoyed strolling around the grounds and through the castle taking photos and talking with some of the locals who were walking their dogs or feeding the ducks. It's well worth a visit to see this lovely castle.
