There are loads of different levels of walk from the easy to the challenging and to be honest you can't go far wrong, everything is well signposted but pick up a little map from the information office near to Muckross House and you can see which dort of route might suit best.... We could have spent more time exploring! We saw the ruins of two abbies, Ross Castle, and the grounds of the Muckross house (in one day). We could have easily spent a second day. More

I was a little concerned when we decided to visit here as I have knee and back trouble, and a few days previously had done something fairly terrible to my back, but I was delighted to find that the park is clearly posted as to easy going routes and harder routes, and isn't over-developed with ice cream vans everywhere like... This is a beautiful nature park easy to walk or ride a bike. We rode through most of the park and stopped to enjoy the water and mountain views. More
