To inspire you with our culture, history, music, song, nature, views and in doing so to give you an unforgettable experience. We want you to see the Ireland we know and love --- we do not put anything “on for show”, just exposing you to the true Ireland at her very best. From mountains tops to lush green valleys, streams to rivers, sunshine to rain, we walk in all weather and experience all that “mother nature” has for us!!We care about you and your holiday and each programme is geared towards that goal - a comfortable, enjoyable and quality walking holiday where the centre of attention is you ... the walker.Looking forward to meeting you. You are always welcome. « less

I have traveled with SWWI twice, once in 2004 on the Dingle Peninsula walk and once in 2011 in Northern Ireland on the Glen Arms/Giants Causeway walk, and can't imagine a better way to really see Ireland. Both walks have been guided tours of small groups of 10-15 people with daily walks along coastal cliffs with amazing views, between fuschia... More

This past September we walked the Ring of Kerry guided walk with SouthWestWalks Ireland. This was our third walk with them and once again it was a wonderful experience. Previously we had walked the Dingle Peninsula and the Beara Peninsula. There is something about Ireland that seems to beckon us to return each year. One of the main reasons we... More

After a break of 5 years I returned to SWW to join a guided holiday in Kerry. Before this I have taken part in the guided tours through Beara, Burren, Connemara and Traditional Ireland. I also did Dingle and Kerry self-guided. Every time organization of my holidays done by SWW was so excellent that I had nothing to do than... More

Fun, laughter, great guides, opportunities to experience and enjoy a variety of Irish weather conditions, glorious warm sunshine, winds that may blow your hat off, and the pitter patter of warm Irish rain drops on your face or glasses. The right attitude of having fun and being well prepared for all kinds of weather is the perfect recipe to enjoy... More

Thank you Jo-Mary. Pity about the weather here this year... sure to be good in 2012 though. You know that we will take great care of you when you return again to you "home from home"! The Southwestwalks team. More

To date, I have been on a total of seven walks with South West Walks. This is a company that really knows what they are doing! Each hike with them has been wonderful. The guides are most welcoming and readily share their knowledge of and love of the land with us. Accomodations are first rate as are the places we... More

My wife and I have taken three self guided walking trips in Ireland and one in Scotland. SWWI is far and away the preeminent service for this type of vacation. The walks and accomodations are uniformly excellent. The maps, informative and guide materials provided are comprehensive, informative, well organized and easy to use. The people at SWWI are extremely helpful... More

In September, my husband and I went on our third, self-guided walking trip with SouthWest Walks. In 2007 we walked the Kerry Peninsula, and in 2010 the Dingle Peninsula. We've always chosen the self-guided option, which means that SouthWest Walks takes care of all the important details regarding lodging, maps, transportation of our luggage, etc. A key item SouthWest Walks... Last July, I left my busy life and the oppressive heat of a New Jersey summer for a SWW trip to Donegal, making it the 7th trip I’ve taken with this company. I arrived a day early and enjoyed a bluegrass festival in Ardara at the hotel where we were to spend the next few days. The rest of the... More

I have walked with SWWI six times on their guided trips and think it´s proof enough they are good at what they do. Everything has been very good organized by SWWI. The areas I have walked in are: Dingle x2, Kerry, Mayo-Achill, Connemara-Burren and Southern Islands. The accommodation is always proper, there is everything you need, a bed, a shower... More

Year after year I’ve walked with a Dutch walking organization. Now it was time to make “the big step” and join a foreign organization. It became SWWIreland. I’ve no regrets !!!! With a few friends we wanted to walk in “the West” of Ireland. The Burren, the Aran Islands and Connemara. The office team of SWWI was very helpful with... More
