Knock village is beautiful place on a fine day. There is not much else to do here though bar go to mass. There is a museum which also has a cafe attached which serves very good food. The many stalls selling religious things are very tacky and many should be knocked to the ground. More

Went to knock on St.Paddy's day 2012. Opted for knock as a day trip instead of heading to the pub, I was not sorry. Being a Catholic it was nice to see a shrine to an actual place where Our Lady appeared, and in my own country too! The serenity cannot be put into words, and the chapel of adoration... More

Knock Shrine complex is so peaceful and serene. I love to visit Knock and could spend hours in the Adoration chapel and the Apparition chapel. This visit I went to the Guided Prayer sessions and found them worthwhile. I always come here every year and this was my 12th time coming. Our Lady always draws me back. It is so... More

Overall, the Shrine and its connected religious sites are a joy to behold. The goodwill ends there though and once in the village you will find a host of greedy traders waiting to take your euro's with a pile of cheap and tacky souvenirs and food that you wouldn't feed your dog. We hd lunch in a local cafe where... More

I have never been to a Shrine where Our Lady had actually appeared. It was awesome. There was such a feeling of peace the entire time that I was there. It was so moving just to be there. The actual Shrine was beautiful! I took Holy Water from the Shrine, and I have shared it with many who are ill.... More

We were down in Knock for the May 1st masses in Knock and had a lovely day. We then decided to get something to eat and headed for the 4Ds restaurant at the end of the mainstreet near the roundabout. Well never in my life have I experienced such a disgusting filthy environment. I brought my son and niece to... More

We visited Knock Shrine on March 21st 2009. We read a little about what had happened here and decided since we were in the area to go. We basically spent about 30 min. walking around the shrine and into the church, visited a few of the religious gift shops, had lunch at 4Ds and were on our way. After the... More

The National Shrine of our Lady of Knock sits at the site of a miracle in which Mary, St. Joseph, and St. John the Evangelist appeared to local villagers in 1879. In 1979, the site was visited by Pope John Paul II. The site features simple buildings, including the shrine, the parish church, and a 7000-person Basilica. It is the... More
