The Great Western Greenway is the most wonderful amenity to happen in this area for a long time. All you need is a bike or good walking shoes and plenty of time. it is a relaxing walk/cycle and the views are breathtaking. An ideal activity for all the family. take a picnic and enjoy.

A gem of a place! Well worth a visit. Family run business, offering the best of local Irish produce. Serves tasty lunch and afternoon tea. Everything home-made. We were so glad we rented bikes from Clew Bay Bike Hire and rode on the greenway during our visit to Westport. This former rail line peaceful and manageable for all levels of cyclists, and the scenery was so gorgeous. I completed the Newport to Mulranny section and while a little challenging in places - generally very doable and a great way to spend a couple of hours - Clew Bay Bike Hire couldn't have been better
We had a great day on the Greenway - it started out without a cloud in the sky and ended grey and damp but it didn't take anything away from the ride.
