This lighthouse is a must see if you are in the south east. The lighthouse is a wonderful experience and has fantastic views. Hook Lighthouse's present structure is 800 years old and it is the oldest operational lighthouse in the world. It is a very picturesque site and there is little museum that you can enter for a fee. We didn't have time to do that, but we enjoyed the views of the water and waves. More

A good dose of history - its the oldest operating light in the world - and a fun kind of thing to tour combined with really magnificent views make an hour or so here well worth while for all ages. Skip the food though - basic cafateria fare at high prices. More
