A family run course a rarity in itself now days. The course does all the talking. Lots of courses claim lots of things but this one has it all. Ive played here 5 times and always got a great reception at the desk. First time I played it we were given free stroke savers which was a really nice gesture.... More

well first off is the people there are very snobbish and looked down there noses at the customers that were not members and just wanted to pay green fees for the day. After all it is us that keep the golf clubs and many like then open in this recession More

A class course where even a bad game will be remembered. This is a course for straight hitters and keeping the ball on the fairway is paramount.Play it once and you will be back!! More

The staff were so very friendly and helpful. It was a windy Saturday and it seemed that my husband was the sole golfer on the course! They suggested a resturant and even called and got us a reservation. Not the exclusive golfers only feeling that I often get when I walk the course with my husband. More

Course was in great shape. Some terrific holes along the water. Hit it straight, anything off the fairway will definitely penalize you, if you can find it. Great layout. Staff couldn't be more accomodating ad friendly. The two extra holes could have been left out. All 8 guys really enjoyed playing here. Would go back in a heartbeat. Price was... More

This is the last course that we played on this past trip during the summer of 2009. It is a must play if you can afford it. We played it the weekend before the Irish PGA was played there. It was already set up for the tournament when we played. Padraig Harrington won it the tournament that weekend and shot... More

My experience at The European Club in late May and early June of this year underscores the experiences of the two reviews submitted from 2005 and 2008. The course is scenic, challenging, and playable if you use the stroke saver and your imagination. The beauty of the course and surroundings as well as challenge and playability contribute to what resulted... More

For golfers this is as good as it gets-have played most of the links courses in Ireland and Northern Ireland and Royal County Down, Waterville, and The European are my three favorites. The European is probably the best conditioned of the links courses-perfect fairways, very good greens. Most of the tees are elevated which afford magnificent ocean views as well... More
