The sun was shining and the sky was heavy grey but what brilliant views - the fresh green shoots stood out against the dramatic sky. I loved the formal gardens then the kitchen garden with a walk through the hot house then the wood with massive Canadian trees then the deer park but with cows and ancient trees. More

The guided tour of Ripley Castle was excellent and we enjoyed a lovely lunch in the tea room. More

Have visited many times. It is lovely to see the gardens at different times of the year. There are lovely walks and the children love the nature trails. Visit to the Castle is by Guided Tour as the family still live there. The guide was so knowledgable and made history come alive. We walked round grounds and were lucky enough to see resident deer herd in the deer park. Ripley village is very picturesque. More
