The Pump Room Museum is just somewhere you have to visit, isn't it?! It's rather old-fashioned in its displays but not uninteresting. There are lots of examples of the water treatments which look rather like water tortures and a funny film of the Spa in the 1930s featuring some of the treatments. More

For £3.75 each I thought it was rather a lot for not much at all. There aren't many exhibits and I think one would struggle to stay there for longer than twenty minutes unless you read every poster from beginning until the end. More

This is a worthwhile visit, see what made old Harrogate in pictures and exhibits. Use the tap on the rear outside wall to taste the waters. This is what everyone flocked to the town for. More

Visited the pump room museum in Harrogate whilst staying in Knaresborough. Really interesting displays and sampled the 'salty waters' that are supposed to be very therapeutic for a variety of ailments. Unusual taste!!! Staff very knowledgeable and gave us lots of extra info. More

This place is a rip off. Nothing in here you couldn't find elsewhere for free, in Harrogate. To get a flavour try the free tap at the side / back of the museum. More

Excellent experience – very informative welcome from the two older gentlemen on the reception desk. Good displays and small gift selection. Shame you can’t take the water anymore – smell outside gives you an idea though!!! More

This is tucked near the valley garden and out of site.. try the sulphour water, secret is throw to back of neck, dont taste it as it tastes like rotten eggs, fantastic stuff from bygone ages esp the dolls house. More

Museum should be free but it was great to visit. I went there when it was only £1 to enter. Would not pay full price as its too small. Better for kids I think. More
