The RAF museum in Cosford is a nice family day out. The museum displays historic aircrafts from many countries like Great Britain,Germany,Japan and Argentina. The aircrafts are displayed in three wartime hangers and within the Cold War exhibition. I visited this museum with my Parents and children, 3 and 5 and had a great day. Its free to get in, all the attractions are indoor so great when the weather is not so good. There was loads to see, we spent 3 hours here but you could stay longer if you wanted to read about all the exhibits.... more

My son and I went to the RAF Museum in Colindale via the tube out of Victoria Station. Just take the blue line to the black line. Aircraft enthusiasts will absolutely love this place. We visited during the October half-term with our Grandchildren and found it a good day out for families on a budget as the Museum offers free admission. There's an excellent display of Research aircraft which we found fascinating. The staff were very knowledgable and helpful more

An aircraft museum which is set in beautiful country side with a varst range of aircraft to see. The outside displays are kept in excellent condition with passenger, transports, bombers and many more. It was so good I have been back twice. more
