Pay for the parking and the rest is free. A marvellous couple of hours looking at aircraft suspended (via steel cables) to the Hangar buildings. The frightening Lightning looked very true to life, vertically suspended no less! My wife is a non aircraft enthusiast but found the displays of interest and more importantly (for her) the aircraft hangars were heated.... More

An excellent afternoon out. Plenty to see & do, especially for the children. Cold-war hangar was top class in exhibits & displays. However I was disappointed with the sparse display of Boy Entrant memorabilia. As an ex-brat from Cosford, there was very little to indicate our passage through the Station. Considering how many thousand of "Brats" passed-out I would have... More

This is one place to take the children for the day without them being bored. It is not only FREE entry, but it is interesting whatever your age or sex. We have been several times and there is always something new to see. Certainly worth a visit if you come to or live in Shropshire. More

I must echo comments made by danny7147 - he wrote the review I would have! I was in the area over a weekend and pootled down to visit. The museum is good, and free, but somehow there's some atmosphere missing and I can't put my finger on it. Perhaps it is the way the aircraft are absolutely crammed in. The... More

I've lived quite close for years but never been until this weekend. How had I missed it? Went with 2 adult aviation nuts, one a PPL flyer, one with thwarted RAF ambitions, with 2 kids (ages 2 and 11) and another "uninterested" adult. I expected to tag along bored. Far from it - it was an amazing, deeply thought provoking... More

I've been interested in going to Cosford Museum for a while, so the predicted rainy May Day bank holiday seemed an ideal opportunity to take advantage of an indoors activity. Entry to the museum is free, with parking charged at £2.50 for up-to 3 hours, £3.50 for over 3 hours (payable on entry). Cosford train station is a brisk 10... More
