My daughter (2 1/2 years old) enjoys visiting the new play area at the Spa Road end of Queens Park, Bolton. It has been completely rebuilt with new equipment. There is also a new cafe which, I was told today is open all week; and this makes up part of a community facility.

Lovely scenery but there is only a childrens playground, and a few benches to sit and enjoy the weather (when there is good weather that is). Other than that was quite boring. A good place to get exercise as it is quite hilly, and to take the dog for a walk.

Took my daughter and her friend on Sat 7.11.11 and the new play area for kids is fab. Close to the old one on the Spa Road side but closer to the river. Clean - no dogs allowed in the fenced in park area. The sand area with the diggers was a big hit and the other new equipment, climbing...
