This is where Alan Turing and other math and linguistics scholars broke the German Enigma machine cipher in WWII. Not only are examples of those famous cipher machines on display but you can see examples of the machines used to break into the ciphers and the actual places where the experts worked. Went for the afernoon on Aug 16th 2009 when buses and Lancaster flypast. Could have stayed for days. True is not all hight tech and glossy like some places. Its hard to pick one thing that stood out but perhaps its the sheer enthusiasm of the guides. I could have listened to ours all day. There was so much to see and do that really I want to... more

I really enjoyed my visit to the place where the British cracked the Nazi codes. It is an amazing story of secrecy that has only recently been told. You can see the enigma machines, the buildings where the codes were broken and the stories behind it all. Although I found this place fascinating it is probably not worthwhile for those... more
