This is one of my favourite places to go. Nothing else in conisborough though, but at the top of the castle you have a full 360 panoramic view that stretches for miles on a clear sunny summers day. If they'd let me, id get the deck chair out and stay up there all day. More

There isn't a lot to see here in the winter, it was bitterly cold when we visited but the views from the top are fabulous. The staff in the visitors centre were really helpful and there is lots of info about the history of the castle More

As English Heritage members, it seemed like a good place to go. Turns out, when we got there, that we had been many years previously. Also, we arrived an hour before closing, there having been an error on the website. However, that didn't detract from our visit (in fact, you wouldn't need much more than an hour, although we did... It was fun to see, entrance fee is not much 2 pounds for adult. It is not big but has it's own special charm and is unlike any castle I have seen in England. More

As an English Heritage member myself and my wife visited as we'd lived locally all our lives but never been and it was free for us. I'd recommend it as something to experience once. That said apart from being able to go to the top of the keep and appreciate the views there's not much else to see/do. Worth visiting... More

In a prominent position as you come into Conisbrough. This was Ivanhoe`s Castle and has been quite well restored.Although I have not been in the past twelve months I pass it quite often on our way to Doncaster which is only ten/fifteen minutes away. Ground around the Castle are also good for a relaxing walk. Also after visiting the Castle there... More

The castle is an interesting place to look around and go for an outing. (although I wouldn't like to go in bad weather because there is a bit outside) My family and I found the place very interesting - we're all aged between 21 and 50 - I'm not sure that I would take children who like to be entertained/weren't...
