Not the best looking of cathedrals but the people make you feel welcome and there are some things to see inside. More

This is an active cathedral not just an empty building. There is a lot going on here. We attended Evening Prayer and had a chance to hear the choir. Worth a listen. Like a free concert even if you are not church-going in general. The building itself is a nice example of the period. I wish you could tour more.... More

Our Guide Sibby gave a very informative tour of the Cathedral. We started off on the outside where Sibby gave us the history of all the various statues and carvings. The cathedral is beautiful inside and having a guide makes you notice things that you would just normally pass by.It was a very interesting tour with lots of history explained... More

Manchester Cathedral does not look as big and grand as many other cathedrals but it is an oasis of calm inside. The Cathedral has a book shop and cafe opposite and a regular lunchtime service of Holy Communion. Fascinating history and volunteers on hand to answer questions More
