Afflecks is a culturally important part of Mancunian Life. As with the rest of the Northern Quarter, you have to look past the 'shabby-chic' of the place to understand and appreciate it's value. It's not The Avenue, Spinningfields or New Cathedral Street, but that's what gives Afflecks and the Northern Quarter it's charm. It's unique. Don't be put off by... More

Fantastic place to visit in Manchester if you like quirky shops. Some lovely items, jewellry and clothing available. Used to be a hang out place for 'goths' but recently it has become popular with the general population. Tends to be teenagers who 'hang out' here but I would say venture in you never know what little gem you might find.... More

The Northern Quarter for me is the REAL Manchester with it's unusual shops and modern yet bohemian feel. Affleck's Palace is like the cathedral in the centre of it all! Me and my family all like this place and visit on a regular basis... even if its just dropping in for a coffee. More

If you like anything alternative or artsy then you'll love Afflecks Palace. Lots of independent shops. Brilliant for just looking around browsing. Not really suitable for children, especially if you have a pushchair. More

Wasn't quite as much different styles as i expected, it was mainly extremly alternative clothing, vintage or those chinese bags stores which are everywhere. However absolutley loved the arty feel, the retro toy shop and many other little bits. Almost felt at home. If only there was an Afflecks Palace in every city. More

Gone downhill since my last visit. Used to be a place where you could get a bargain when you were a student because it was cheap, as most of the stalls were selling old clothes. Has gone very ovepriced. and a lot of the units were shutdown. Had an uneasy feeling when walking round it. We did get some really... More
