Manchester Art Gallery on Mosley Street is well worth a visit if you are in Manchester with or without children. Visited to see the Ford Madox Brown exhibition. It was superb ,so well presented plenty of room and space to enjoy the paintings. visited with my husband on a weekend in Manchester, he wanted to see the Lowry exhibition and was not disappointed. The gallery has good access with both stairs and lifts for both the old part of the building as the more modern part. there is a lovely cafe and restaurant and shop selling postcards and books along with other novelties... The art gallery is one of my most favourite venues when visiting Manchester. We went on my birthday to see my favourite painting which is Drapers The Waterbaby, sadly it's in storage and has been for 10 years. I love Manchester Art Gallery and I wasn't disappointed with the exhibition. Well displayed and plenty of room to see the paintings and drawings at their best with good explanatory notes. Excellent cafe as well. More
