Colmar is a great little town to visit and the Unterlinden really was worth going for just by itself. Great location, fantastic building, very good pieces inside, educational and good information a real treat. And best of all, it wasn't too busy, can take it at a relaxing pace. More

The painings were beautiful, although under restoration when I was there...I suppose that is a good thing though. There is an interesting museum within as well. It is worth the visit if you are in Colmar. More

I'm not a huge museum visitor, but love this place more and more every time I visit. The the church artifacts (particularly the Issenheim Altarpiece) are gorgeous beyond description. Do yourself a favor and snag one of the audio self-guided tour devices, which are free with the admission charge of 8 euro. More

Spent a late afternoon enjoying a uniquely fine collection of art and historical pieces. Must see! More

The museum had an audio tour that explained the meaning behind the huge art pieces. Several pieces were being restored while we were there. The setting is a monastery with beautiful architecture and there are rooms where huge wine presses and barrels were still present. More
