Whilst this garden is quite pretty and well maintained, the entrance fee is exorbitant for what is there and the time it takes to view it. Because of all the petty notices stopping you from walking on the grass and chains to prevent access to certain parts it is impossible to see the gardens properly. We met some other Brits... More

These gardens really are a hidden treasure. They are not easy to find. The road leading up to them is narrow, winding and longer than you expect, however, the delight that awaits you is worth it. Yes, the entry price is quite steep (12 Euros) if you compare it with a city museum, however, the time and effort that has... More

This garden is called "one of the most beautiful gardens in the Périgord". There are only two gardens in the Périgord, the other being le Jardin de Marqueyssac (between La Roque-Gageac and Beynac), which is much larger and offers a much more rewarding visit for a much less vertiginous price, especially in a combined ticket with Castelnaud castle (13 euros... You can admire the place and what the gardeners have done and what they continue to do here, it is a good set of gardens, as far as gardens go. I believe all of the work is done with traditional tools, i.e. non-electric and non-fuelled. The café was nice, the food was good and reasonably priced. Free parking is a... More

The Jardins d'Eyrignac was a major disappointment for us. Michelin gives it three stars and we couldn't figure out why. To start, its in the middle of no where and not easy to find. We were going to Lascaux II and the gardens were sort of on our way. There's certainly a lot of garden, but we found most of... More

Being an avid gardener, I have travelled all over England, France and Italy to see gardens but this garden may be an unknown gem to many as it was to me. However, its garden is not only a national treasure of France but also, if you visit, you will notice that it has the feel of a beloved family treasure.... More

My wife and I spent a happy four or five hours enjoying this wonderful restored garden and its lovely restaurant. The audioguide we used was well worth the modest price. We had been slightly skeptical at the prospect of visiting an "all green" garden but the concern was unfounded. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing all of the varieties of bushes and... More

One cannot see the gardens until one has paid for entrance. The advertisements and brochures at the entrance show views that one cannot access. The whole point of these gardens is that they were built to be seen from above, from the house. But the house is not open to the public! The gardens could not be enjoyed as they... More
