Brilliant place to visit for wide range of age groups as long as able to cope with good few steps and some uneven surfaces. This forgottenChateau fort between Sarlat and Les Eyzies was abandoned for decades but has recently been unearthed anfd makes a great 2-3 hr visit. My advice to anyone planning a visit to "Commarque" would be to park your car at the " Abri du Cap Blanc" (which is a must see attraction, see reviews of Cap Blanc) It is a very pleasant walk through the "Beune Valley, to Commarque and you can actually make it a very interesting loop.. It is about 15 minutes... more

An opportunity to step back a thousand years and explore an authentic castle from the 1100s. Self guided tours for 5 euro are a bargain and include information in english. In one of the most beautiful regions of France. more
