I visited Le Puy en Velay in August 2006 and had a fascinated guided tour of the old town and the cathedral. Following our guide, we made our way around the building where we could see St. Michel Aiguilhe, next to the town, an enormous 88 meter high rock – also part of the volcanic chimney.
