The place was just not up to other aquariums. It was not good value for money and didn't have much in.
The "Nautibus" was a joke and an embarrassment and certainly not worth the hour we queued for.

not at all impressed with this attraction. From outside it looks huge but this is deceptive. The publicity said to allow 2 hours for the visit. We had seen it all in half that time . The submarine dive was a real let down and not worth the time spent queing. The queue we joined didnt look too long but once...

Very good aquarium; kids most taken with the glowing jellyfish!

We thought this was well set up. It was clean and tidy. I went there with my 4 children on my own and we all had a great time (even the 2 year old was enthralled). We are from Australia and have visited the Melbourne Aquarium (which is very good) so we were surprised that this aquarium was also of...

Started by calling into the on site restaurant, what a mistake! The food was truly awful - the worst I've ever had in France. (My grandson's burger was still frozen in the middle).
The aquarium itself was very average compared to the Cite de la Mer at Cherbourg and in my opinion not good value for money. On the plus...

This was good for a cold rainy day. Unfortunately there was no 3d tank with sharks when we visited which was advertised and the underwater submarine experience was a complete let down. The shutters didn;t go up so we were in the dark for the whole voyage and were unable to explain the problem. Also hounded somewhat by the photographer.

Quite a surprise and excellent value for money
The submarine ride at the end was quite intriguing but well worth it
Good mixture of sea life and spaciously laid out

We visited one rainy afternoon in July. It was very busy however the queue to enter moved quickly and although there were a lot of people inside you were able to view the tanks and they also offer translations in English if your French is a bit rusty and schoolboy like mine.
If you are used to Sealife it is...

Very easy to find on the outskirts of the town, well signposted. Very well laid out and the amount of sea-life on display is impressive. The shark room and the Nautibus are particularly good.
It cost me about £28 (with a Britanny Ferries discount) for myself and 2 children.
