When I heard about this museum, I confess I wasn't enthused about it. When I got to see it on September 26, 2008, I was really impressed with it. It was ahead of its time when it opened as it was a hospital that would treat sick poor people who didn't have the money to pay for medical treatment. The... more

Just got back from a weekend in Beaune. The entire town is lovely and well worth a visit (in three days we were only able to see about half of what Beaune had to offer). Don't miss the Musee de l'Hotel-Dieu-- it is an incredible, historical site. Most unique about it is the fact that it was a hospital built... more

Hotel Dieu looks very drab from the outside (intentionally) - but It's GREAT on the inside. Best exhibit/museum we've seen in a long time! GO THERE! more
