A couple who was staying at the same B&B highly recommended La Cave de l'Ange Gardien so I peeked inside and was warmly welcomed. I tasted many kinds of wine white - red and a delightful Crème de Cassis also. I sent back selected 15 bottles to my home in Japan and all safely arrived. It was the best souvenir... More

We immensely enjoyed our trip to this wine store. The wine education and tastings that we received were phenomenal. They only sell the wines that they enjoy, so every wine we tasted was delicious. I'd highly recommend this as an excellent place to go to taste Burgundy wines. More

We were recommended to visit the place by a local wine-tour organisator, so we figured it's definately worth taking a look. When we stepped in from the heavy rain outside we expected to see more tables, but anyway we figured it's the same place seen from the photos. Pierre smoothly located us to sit along other people already tasting the... More

We were treated to a 2 hour person tasting that was better than anything else I had done in the region. Pierre was exception in explaining the qualities of each wine. We tasted over 10 wines plus his delicious Cremant du Bourgogne, we laughed and learned. Perhaps the best was the fact that he did not tell us the wine... More

After reading all of the glowing reviews of this place on TripAdvisor I was convinced this should be our first stop in Beaune (after checking into the hotel). My first clue that something was wrong was when the hotel, only a few hundred metres up the road had never heard of this place, and in the end were only able... More

My husband and I spent almost 3 hours with the lovely Nicole - learning, laughing, and tasting some fantastic wines, cremant, and the crowning glory, a spectacular cassis. We left with the max. amount of cases we could drive over the border and are looking forward to our next visit. This was one of the highlights of our trip to... More

We found La Cave de l'Ange Gardien through tripadvisor and went this afternoon. It was absolutely fantastic! Pierre was wonderful, taking the time to explain each of the ten wines we tasted; where they were from, what foods they should be paired with, etc. Pierre's greatest gift is catering to the individual, he tailored the tastings to our preferences and... I generally don't write reviews but this was such a wonderful wine-tasting experience I feel compelled to let others know too. I've been to some of the best vintners in California, South Africa, Argentina and Chile, as well as having sampled a lot in the past two years living in Paris, and this was the best wine-tasting by far. First... More

Definitely, we can recommend visiting this place. We were pleasantly surprised. Nicole always smiling and perfectly describe the aromas of each wine. We spent a total of about 2.5-3 hours. Very interesting explanations about the Burgundy wines, tasted sixteen wines, white and red, the local sparkling wine, cremant (Sparkling) wine, cassis and kir royale. It highly recommended. More

Our wine class made a weekend trip to Burgundy, and Pierre and Nicole opened their shop especially for us on Sunday. We were treated to a round of blind tasting where we were encouraged to try and figure out what we liked in the wine (and how it tasted). This was a refreshing departure from judging a wine from it's... More
