Amboise was my second favorite chateau in the Loire. Nice size and great location. Cute city with easy access. Very cool to see De Vinci tomb. Don't miss. more
Very pleasant little chateau with fabulous views of the river and town of Amboise from it's ramparts. Worth seeing just to visit little St Hubert's Chapel which is reputed to contain the remains of Leonardo Da Vinci. more
our visit here was very enjoyable. the town of Amboise is very picturesque and quaint, especially around the chateau. the chateau is perched atop the town and you can get some wonderful views of the river from the balconies. the grounds are also beautiful & have some unique Italian influences. more
I had the opportunity to spend six weeks in this beautiful town nestled between Tours and Blois in the Loire Valley. Should you be looking for a morning/afternoon trip out of either of the larger towns, consider stopping in Amboise for a visit of the chateau.
