We did the Castellane tour immediately after Mercier, which turned out to be great for us. Castellane is open later, so if you want to do both I'd recommend doing Mercier at 2p when they open and then walking to Castellane. While Mercier is a bit "flashier", Castellane is much more personal and our English speaking guide was very helpful... More
