Great tour, really personal feeling to it, tasting of about four or five champagnes all for about 11 euro! Good champagne too!

We also visited Tairttinger and Veuve Clicquot, only visiting Martell because of its TA rating. OK so the cheapest but not the best fizz and not the best visit

As a tour it is nothing special but at least they do not charge an arm and a leg like Veuve Cliquot etc. do. If you are not very familiar with the champagne business this tour is good as any other but cheaper in price and they are quite friendly. It is not a small champagne house though - as...

We decided to visit one small and one large champagne house and chose Martell as our small one. We were not disappointed. The guide was very friendly and knowledgable and the tour very informative. Although they do not use the caves which we toured for production anymore, it was still interesting to see all the old equipment. As a bonus,...

Cheaper than the others more well known houses. But quite poor tour. Friendly staff but English not very good.

Enjoyed Martel but preferred Tattinger and Ruinart more. The tasting was good value at Martel, the tour ok.

I visited Martel, Mumm, and Moet Chandon. Martels was the best. It was very intimate and the tour guide was the most knowledgeable. Even though Martel doesn't make champagne in Reims anymore the tour of the original cave was excellent.

All the champagne tours we completed, this was our favorite! Small and intimate, and THREE wonderful champagne tastings! They were ALL great! Emmanuel, the host, lives up to Rick Steves' praise - he was friendly, the tour great, our group was very small and it was relaxing and very enjoyable. Smaller and underassuming, this is really the BEST of the...

We went through the Tourist Info to book a champagne cellar visit. As it was Dec 31, choice was limited, and we ended up at Martel. I've visited other champagne cellars in the past... and Martel really was poor compared to others (Moët, Vranken, Ruinart) I visited earlier: a short movie as intro, then just walking around 10min in a...

The tour of this champagne house was top notch. For only €10 each, you got an overview via dvd on the champagne making process, a tour in the cave's (which are no longer used due to insufficient storage) and 3 glasses of champagne to taste, the tour guide was great, funny and friendly with any questions you may have answered!...
