I've always wanted to visit this cathedral, which is part of UNESCO World heritage list. Well I can say that this is really a beautiful cathedral, and I was more impressed with this cathedral, which has various kinds of stained glass, including ones from Marc Chagall, and other modern artists as well as geometric ones, and rose-shaped stained glass. The windows here range from original windows to Chagall and later. Joan of Arc statue outside--the king she helped install was crowned here. Worth a visit, as is the palace/museum next door. More

If you are in Paris, a trip, preferably by TGV to Reims to see the Cathedral is a must. It together with Chartres, Amiens, and Notre Dame in Paris are the great four Gothic Cathedrals in France. Chartres, Amiens and Reims can easily be done in day trips. Only Reims requires the TGV. I would also recommend that you go... More

It's an outstanding piece of architecture with an incredible history (also recent history). Check out the Chagall glasswork at the back. Outstanding. More

Even if you are not into Cathedrals this one is worth visiting. Lots of history as was really badly damaged in First World War, really big, lovelly stain glass (including some by Chagall). Whilst being popular with tourists also space to sit and think and pray (if that's your thing) More

My husband wanted to visit this cathedral, otherwise I'd never have known about it. It was positively stunning. And I say this as someone who is not Christian, but this building is a testament to the faith of those who built it and contributed to it. Enormously high, with positively stunning stained glass including one window (s?) done by Marc... More

Reims (pronounced rrahns) was high up our list of places to visit in the Champagne region and it was well worth a lengthy detour. Joining the throng of visitors to this historic cathedral, we were impressed to hear that the Kings of France were crowned on this site from 498 AD onwards, when Cloris, King of the Franks, was baptised... A beautiful area. Cathedral just as spectacular as Notre-Dame on a smaller scale. Marked area where a bishop was killed defending the town. Many kings crowned here and many baptized there as well. More
