My husband and I generally prefer to tour small producers rather than larger producers, but we wanted to see the caves of at least one large producer. We didn't visit other large producers while we were in Reims, so I cannot compare this tour to the others, but we loved this tour and were very pleasantly surprised. The caves were...

The visit of the cellars was not quite what I expected. I thought I would see a bit how champagne is made. The explained how it's done but without visual aids. The cellars however are impressive.

We visited the Vranken Pommery on a Saturday morning having made a reservation for a tour previously. Staff speak very good English. It is always wise to book before you go. It is situated about 35 to 40 mins walk from Reims centre.
Very impressive building and driveway. The caves are most impressive and the history of the Champagne house...
