My husband and I wanted to take a break from the usual sightseeing and do something different so we signed up for Marie's market class where you shop at a market formulating a menu with Marie's suggestions for a meal that you will help prepare and then of course enjoy back at her lovely apartment. It was great fun. We... More

A great day with lovely Marie. We had great fun at the market where we had tasters of all kinds of fantastic french cheeses....and shopped for herbs and fish. Marie was very patient and showed me the correct way to make choux pastry dough. I am home now and will try it tonite! We had lunch in marie's chic apartment,... More

We participated in Marie's market and cooking class on May 11th and it was definitely one of the highlights of our two weeks in Paris. After shopping at the outdoor market (so much fun) we went back to Marie's lovely apartment. Our menu consisted of gougeres, pear tart, herbed cod, roasted tomatoes with seared baby spinach and floating islands. One... More

First we visited a local market, which was more that just browsing a market. We learned about fruit and vegetables, how to eat seasonal food, how to pick and what to choose, and how food distribution is made in Paris ; and of course, how to make a delicious menu. Everything was well organized and prepared, We cooked a typical... More

My sister and I were in Paris for her birthday and decided that a cooking class was a must! We did some research but didn't want a 'school' experience. Marie's "A World in a Pan" was the perfect experience. We were met at the market where we chose our menu and bought fresh ingredients and then we walked back to... More

We had a perfect experience at the cheese class. We learned a lot, ate a lot, and we were treated like special guests. There were four of us and no one wanted to go home. Thank you , Marie, for a very special time. L.Braude More

We had a wonderful time with Marie (and her friend, Marion, who was her able assistant for our class). And the food was fabulous. We will make several of the recipes back home. It truly was one of our best experiences. Marie is used to explaining cooking to travellers and provides information in U.S. measurments as well as European. She... More

My experience was terrific! Marie was at once warm and professional. She made the entire experience from choosing the menu, to shopping at the market, to praying and eating the food a memorable and thoroughly Parissian experience. If you are looking to learn some French techniques in a home cooking environment, this is for you! I highly recommend it. More

My adult daughters and I recently enjoyed a lovely afternoon with Marie and her World in a Pan class. We requested a vegetarian meal which Marie graciously planned for us. We enjoyed Marie's warm hospitality and her expertise in the kitchen. Her home was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of Paris. And then the meal.....from beginning to... More

My friend and I took Marie's class as a result of the reviews of others and agree that it was one of our most memorable experiences in Paris. We got valuable information about buying produce and cheese at the lovely farmer's market and cheese shop. Our menu included duck l'orange, pea soup (since peas were in season), cheese souffle, fingerling... More
