We took the Canauxrama boat ride on the Canal on a pleasant spring afternoon. Got to see parts of the city we probably wouldn't have had the time to walk, from the Parc de la Violette in the 19e to the Bastille. Pass through 4 locks on the way. They offer a 60+ discount as well. More

Went because the tour book said how great the area is with cafes and boutiques etc - it was terrible with graffiti on the buildings and no decent places to shelter from the rain. One cafe - Cafe Prune - might be worth a look - we just headed off somewhere else. More
