My wife and I are in Paris almost every year. One of my favorite "must go to" places is Harry's. I always have the French 75 cocktail and have NEVER had a bad experience there. In fact, the day barman is rather friendly and quite tolerant of my not-quite-so-fluent-anymore French. I have also scarffed up many hot-dogs there...delicious. When there,... more

We visited the infamous Harry's to see the historic bar and enjoy beverages while doing so. The bartender was terribly rude. We ordered drinks and were even more let down. The bloody mary tasted like, well not sure, warm red water, it was 12 euro and a major waste of money. Avoid this place or be prepared for total frustration.... more

When I first decided to visit Harry's I was initially disappointed - alighting from the taxi I thought the bar was closed as no light escaped. But I was wrong - they just had a very thick curtain on the back of the door! Inside you enter into a sort of lost world. The service was far from rapid, admittedly,... more

Fabulous! Ex-Patriot 20's watering hole for the famous, infamous and Pairisn citizenry. Creation Place of the Bloody Mary and many other drinks, it is worth it just to sample where creation occurred. Downstairs has an incredible dance room and sitting area. Bathrooms are clean, entire place reeks with the historical patina you'd expect. Loud tourists who make like they are... more

My husband and I visited Harry's Bar during the day, not in the evening......we had a wonderful experience! The bartender spoke English. We ordered Bloody Marys and I had a hot dog. The drinks were very good and my hot dog was one of the best I've ever eaten! We sat for a long time conversing with the bartender. He... more

We spent some time trying to find this place....Not worth one minute of our time....This place Sucks! The service sucks...the drinks suck...it has been there for 100 years and it hasn't been cleaned since then...The Bloody Mary's....WHATEVER!!! We sat at the bar and we watched the grumpy bartender make the drinks...if you aren't looking don't expect him to make you... more

On a recent wknd break, I sought out Harrys Bar, the "bartender " was incredibly short with me but i shrugged it off had a beer and went on my way! The next day I found myself in the area again & decided to pop in with my Fiance, who in her fluent french had the nerve to ask for... more

Went there on 09 July 2007 with my partner to start off celebrating her 50th birthday. After settling down and ready to order cocktails we were asked if we would move as six or seven executive types had just come in ! we could not believe the cheek and we have never experienced this treatment anywhere! Amazingly the "Bartender" looked... more

Went here with some friends while in Paris after finding it in a tourbook. Easy to find after using the Opera metro stop. On a Thursday night, we arrived about 1030pm to find a full upstairs bar. We were shown downstairs to the lounge. Cool little area with a small bar, tables, a piano, and lounge singer. Had a bloody... more
