OK the place looks grand from the outside and all but the rooms are in need of a serious refurbishment. I spent a night there in late October and I was glad to leave. The +: nice location in the 6th close to le bon marche et saint germain des pres. Decent size room and rather clean. Check in and... More

The Lutetia is a grand hotel in the highly desirable 6th district. Close to everything the 6th has to offer and right on a metro stop this hotel is a great place to stay for those who like this location. The hotel has been redone over the years and the common areas are very comfortable. The bar which is a... More

Our second stay at this hotel and brought down to earth with a bump. Last time we stayed in a suite. This time we opted for a deluxe room. At reception, the unfailingly courteous staff informed us that we had been upgraded to a junior suite. This was on the 7th floor (beware). Attic rooms on one side and this... More

Our friends told us to go there and we were highly disappointed. We paid big money for a room that smelled like glue or paint and had old ugly furniture. The bar of the hotel was out of price; 20 euros for a perrier and a bottle of water ( 33$). The location of the hotel and the service is... More

The Lutetia is a gorgeous old property, very grand and very close to being a five star property. There's the odd stain on the carpet or scuff on the wallpaper which lets it down a little. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was huge. Breakfast was gorgeous there was so much choice I couldn't fault it. My only complaint... More

The room we had was only 2* average - definately not 4*. The bathroom was almost bigger than the room and could only be described as 80's chic! We asked for a twin room and the beds were twin but right next to each other. We pushed them apart but the cleaner insisted on pushing them back together every day.... More

Booked into the Lutetia for the second time. The first experience was bad with mould around the bath and poor standard of cleaning generally. However, my fiancee loves Art Nouveau and Art Deco, so this was the obvious choice for a romantic stay. Great pianist/jazz in the bar, amazing decor and staff that are attentive and in the main, polite.... More

We booked the Lutetia via Expedia as the quickest way to arrange for a last-minute trip to Paris. After reading other reviewer's comments regarding the small rooms provided through such deals, we were apprehensive, but everything turned out fine. The room was generously sized, if not stunningly elegant (If we had paid the published 480 euro rack rate, I would... More
