Masterpieces everywhere you turn! See La Jaconde, but don't forget all of the other fantastic ancient- 19th century pieces that are also in this collection!

If you are in Paris and you like culture and history, go to the Louvre right now! It is impossible to visit it all in just one day, but you have to spend one whole day at least in it because its magnificence deserves that.

Theres so much in this place you'll never see it all and you'll probably like us get lost a lot and just stumble across the most amazing things. Its worth visiting Napoleon's apartments, talk about 'over the top', so much gold! Its short on places for snacks apart from the entrance area, so its worth taking a cereal bar and... More

The biggest museum I've ever seen in my life. In my opinion, it needs at least 3 days to visit every part of it. Don't miss having a picture with the pyramid from the outside. The Egyptian collection is so well preserved, a must see especially if you haven't been to Egypt before. Great exhibitions, although you might wait too... More

The art was unparalleled. Huge place. Line to get in was a little long, but overall very positive experience. Purchase a ticket before you get there allows you to skip the long line. It was 6 euros for the walking price. First Sundays are free.

I went over two days in two separate weeks, probably spending about 10 hours altogether there. If you're going just for the Mona Lisa, don't bother. Don't get me wrong - it's great to see it in person but it's crowded. Buy a postcard or a poster. Better value for your money. If that doesn't put you off, ensure you... More

At the outset, allow me to confess that I'm no art enthusiast. Never had the patience or the expertise to gaze at sculptures or paintings for hours, trying to find some hidden message. Infact, Louvre wasn't on our itinerary until the last moment. We feared long lines at the security check near the Pyramid and also at the ticket counters... More

So much to see. So many diverse cultures and periods of time. Take your time - if you can - to see this impressive collection. If your time is limited, select ahead of time what you most want to see.
